Thank you to every one who came through my thesis exhibition in Savannah, Georgia over the last two weeks. I took the show down yesterday and moved everything to my studio in Jacksonville. I will be posting photos of the work shortly. Many have expressed condolences for not being able to attend the exhibition. I am currently working on putting together a second, and different, show in Jacksonville at CoRK Arts District in Riverside (the same complex where my studio is). This will take place at the end of the year. More information will be put out as the details are solidified.
This morning I received notification that my thesis paper was approved. My time as a graduate student is officially over. My experience at Savannah College of Art and Design has been nothing short of amazing, partly due the relationships that I established which i am extremely thankful for. With the holiday season upon us I will be taking a much needed break to be with my family and have fun without any deadlines. Additionally, I’ll take some time to process the last two years and make steps towards continuing this current body of work.
Just as a heads up, I will be in a group show that opens in the Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens this December titled Our Shared Past. Please check it out. The artwork and the programming for this exhibition is going to be something wonderful.
